Working out with back pain doesn’t mean stop moving — it means train smarter. 👇

• Decrease the weight → your spine doesn’t need a PR right now
• Shorten your range of motion → pain-free reps > full depth on bad days
• Use full-body movements → they spread the load and build real stability
• Don’t sit it out → long periods of sitting usually make things worse

Motion is medicine… when it’s the right motion.

Modify, keep moving, and respect what your body is telling you — not what your ego wants.

If your back hurts every time you train (or keeps flaring up), it’s a sign something needs to be addressed — not avoided. That’s where Function 4 Life comes in.

If this resonates with you then you should attend my upcoming low back pain workshop at @burnbootcampharrisonburgva on Saturday February 7!
